FasTrak database backup
Open FasTrak Server Setup, select the
tab, and in the Backup Location section, select the button. In the window that appears, navigate to the location you want your FasTrak database backups to be saved to, and then click .
The backup location is not set automatically, so the first time you run FasTrak Server, this section will be empty.
If you want to save to a network drive, use the UNC path (e.g. \\192.168.0.42\FasTrak\DatabaseBackups\) rather than a mapped drive.
Remember to select
to save your changes. If FasTrak Server is running, you'll need to restart it from the tab before any changes are applied.
Manual and automatic backups are controlled via FasTrak Admin:
Manual Backups - Log into FasTrak Admin and select the
section. In the toolbar, select . A confirmation message will be displayed when the backup is complete. You can perform a manual backup at any time, however it is recommended to avoid creating a backup during busy periods when there is a lot of FasTrak activity, such as lunch periods.
Automatic Backups - If you have automatic Day End configured you can configure two set times per day to take an automatic backup. Edit the values for Step 2 Run First Backup and Step 6 Run Second Backup for the times that you want backups to be taken.
Day End - An automatic backup is also taken each time you run the End of Day process in FasTrak Admin.
